LEC_7128Back in the 1980′s construction was booming here in the Phoenix metro area and at that time we were not even on the list of top ten largest cities in America. During those early years I worked as a laborer in all phases of plumbing contracting. I helped build dozens of very large apartment complexes here in the Valley starting out with the underground work and eventually working my way through the entire building process including underground, top out, finish work, final inspections.
It was a time when there was no loop 101 or 202 and in fact the only freeways in town were the I-17 and the I-10 which was not even open through downtown until the completion of the Deck Park Tunnel in August of 1990.
By the end of those first 10 years I had become a City of Phoenix authorized, card carrying Journeyman Plumber with the credentials to pull permits, oversee inspections, or step up and become a licensed plumbing contractor. Of course I chose the latter and after a number of years of being self-employed I attained my plumbing contractor’s license in early 2000.
It was around 1993 when I first became self-employed, and now in the year 2014 I’m looking back on over 30 years of overall plumbing trade experience and at least half that time working for myself helping people solve their residential plumbing problems around the house. Our work includes all repairs, sewer rooters, drain cleaning, sewer repair or replacement, water heater repair or replace, disposals, hose bibs, and main water lines including meter connections and house shut off valves.
